MMOGrounds is a free, community-driven database of massively multiplayer online games. We track over 1,400 MMOs across PC, mobile, and console, provide curated rankings, and help players find their next game — whether they are looking for a top free MMORPG or a subscription-based PC title with years of content.
Every game page includes cover art, genre and platform details, release information, and direct links to official pages and top-up partners. Our community review system lets registered players rate and write about any title in the database, building an honest record of each game's quality over time.
The MMO genre is vast and constantly changing. Thousands of titles exist across different business models, platforms, and communities, and the landscape shifts every month with new launches, closures, and expansions. We exist to make finding the right game faster and more transparent.
Rankings on MMOGrounds are based on a combination of community ratings, active playerbase signals, update frequency, and editorial review. Games are assessed across four areas: the quality of the core gameplay, free-to-play fairness, how actively the developer supports the game, and the health of the community around it.
Games that have ceased development, shut down servers, or dropped below minimum activity thresholds are moved to archived status rather than remaining in active top lists. Top lists are reviewed and updated on a rolling basis. When a major update, expansion, or server closure changes a game's standing, we reflect that in the relevant lists promptly.
We do not accept payment to alter rankings, review scores, or placement in any list on this site. If you believe a game listing contains an error, you can report it to our team and we will investigate.
MMOGrounds is free to use. We earn revenue through display advertising and affiliate commissions. When you click a "Buy via partner" or top-up button and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This supports the cost of running and maintaining the database.
Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial decisions. Rankings and featured games are determined by data and community input only. You can submit a game for inclusion in the database without payment.
