New MMORPGs Releasing in 2026
This list covers every MMORPG with a confirmed 2026 release window, including early access launches, global releases, and major platform expansions. Games are added as announcements are confirmed and removed if they slip to 2027 or later. Release dates are updated monthly based on official developer communications.
The most anticipated 2026 releases include Ragnarok Origin Classic, which launched globally in early 2026 as a faithful recreation of the original Ragnarok gameplay, and The Quinfall, a large-scale open-world MMORPG from Vawraek Technology. ArcheAge Chronicles is among the most-watched releases for fans of sandbox PvP, continuing the ArcheAge lineage with a rebuilt engine.
This July 2026 update expands the list to 32 entries. The H2 2026 wave is now in full swing: Sword Art Online: Echoes of Aincrad launched July 10 on PC, PS5, and Xbox, while EverQuest Legends follows on July 28 as a reimagined take on the 1999 classic. September brings two major launches: Aion 2 arrives globally on PC in September from NCSoft with free-to-play access across North America, Europe, and Asia, and RuneScape: Dragonwilds leaves Early Access on September 15 across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Stars Reach, the science-fantasy sandbox MMORPG from Ultima Online designer Raph Koster, is entering Early Access on PC this summer. Note that Chrono Odyssey has been delayed to Q1 2027 by Kakao Games following beta feedback.
